The delegates were interested in understanding further on the Malaysian’s ISO/IEC 17024 journey, especially on the challenges and success stories achieved from it. The Thais were also interested in bringing these expertise home and by collaborating further with IPEC Certification Bureau to work on their objective. IPEC’s expertise in the Certification of Persons was needed in assisting them to establish a benchmark for Thailand’s human resources certification processes that focuses on the defining and examining the competence level of personnel. At the end of the day, an industry defined competency standards that is examinable and measurable must be established.
