IPEC Certification Bureau, together with the Department of Standards Malaysia (a Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia agency) , are participating in the largest beauty and therapeutic expo in Malaysia, held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from October 16th till 19th, 2015. This collaboration is part of the Malaysian Government’s initiative to flourish visibility and smart partnerships with industry leader namely IPEC Certification Bureau, Malaysia.
This participation is to showcase to the consumers and the beauty community that Standards will continue to play a vital role at par with the evolvement of the industry. Innovation in the global beauty industry are growing at a very fast pace. With various technologies and gadgets being introduced almost every single day, the industry is beginning to feel the heat from the regulators as consumers could be exposed with danger. Taking this into consideration, it is Standards Malaysia and IPEC Certification Bureau’s roles to ensure that danger doesn’t reach to that level.
That vital role is to ensure consumers are well protected by encouraging the beauty industry players to play by the rules, which is to follow the global best practices under the purview of ISO/IEC17024 Certification of Persons. The certified person who deliver the services needs to be well accredited to ensure quality deliverables.
En Mahader Mohammed, a senior officer of Standards Malaysia and Miss Priscilla Lim, a manager representing IPEC Certification Bureau Malaysia were among high level officers helped to man the booth. Dr Ng Wee Kiong, an advisor for IPEC Certification Bureau Malaysia was also seen at the event, lending a hand to answer some questions from visitors about Standards and the upcomingASEAN IPEC Retreat Convention In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah this November 25-27, 2015.
