KUALA LUMPUR – A new dawn will rise in global martial arts culture on 20 November, 2016 at the 2nd Federation of International Grandmasters Association’s (FIOGA) Annual World Grandmasters and Cultural Networking Gala Dinner. The collaboration between FIOGA and IPEC Bureau – which began in 2015 and focused strongly on efforts to standardise the martial arts industry – will formally introduce the ISO / IEC 17024 Certification of Persons through the Sport Science Mastership Certification Scheme.
This certification is designed to enhance the development of international martial arts by providing the highest standard of recognition through certifying instructors, masters and grandmasters, and enhance the global mobility of professional martial arts practitioners. The event will bring together martial arts leaders from all over the world to herald a new direction in the world of martial arts and empower future generations of practitioners.
More than 1000 participants from over 10 countries such as India, China, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Germany, France and Venezuela will be present at the HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur to witness this historic progress in an industry that goes back hundreds of years. The guest of honour at the event is YB Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau, Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation.
Other important guests include a government official from China and Chinese martial arts film stars Chen Kuan-Tai and Chiu Chi-ling. Honorary awards will also be present at the Gala Dinner to numerous practitioners for their unwavering commitment towards the upliftment and development of martial arts.
