The National Transformation 2050 (TN50) got into full swing on 22 May 2017 at Bookmark @APW, Bangsar. The event kicked off with opening remarks from Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports Khairy Jamaluddin leading up to the official announcement of 10 TN50 Ambassadors, with IPEC Bureau’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Juliana Lim, amongst them.
The objective of the TN50 initiative – launched by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak early this year – is to shape Malaysia into the country its citizens aspire it to be, over the 30 years spanning 2020 – 2050. It aims to reach out to the younger generation to discover their aspirations and hopes for the country.
“I’m excited to be a part of this initiative by the government and am honoured to be selected as an ambassador to engage with like-minded youth and experts. This initiative is a bottom up act that involves the aspirations of Malaysian citizens as such, an unconventional futuristic vision is what Malaysia should aim to build on after 2020,” said a proud Dr Juliana.
“Sustainable Human Capital Development is the key driver for promoting the 3Qs (Quality Opportunity, Quality Income & Quality Life) for the Rakyat which will have a highly positive impact on the happiness index,” she added.
